Nadi Astrology Procedure

The Nadi Astrology process begins with the seeker’s thumb impression. Traditionally, the right thumb impression is taken for men and the left thumb impression for women. The impression is examined and classified according to traditional patterns, helping the Nadi reader select the appropriate collection of palm-leaf manuscript bundles.

The Nadi reader then searches through the selected bundles to locate the seeker’s possible matching palm leaf. During this identification process, a series of confirmation questions is asked. The seeker normally answers only “Yes” or “No.” These questions may relate to family structure, life circumstances and other general details recorded on the leaves. Important personal information does not need to be disclosed beforehand.

If the answers do not match, the reader continues searching through other leaves and bundles. When all the identifying details correspond correctly, the matching Nadi palm leaf is confirmed. If a suitable leaf is not found, the seeker is informed honestly, as finding a personal leaf cannot be guaranteed for every consultation.

After the leaf has been identified, its ancient Tamil verses are read and clearly explained in the seeker’s preferred language. The General Chapter may provide an overview of the seeker’s life, including the past, present and possible future. Additional chapters may address marriage, family, career, business, education, health, wealth, children, spiritual growth and other important areas of life.

When indicated in the manuscript, traditional remedial guidance may also be explained. These remedies are intended as spiritual guidance and may include prayers, temple visits, charitable acts or other simple practices. The reading can be recorded, subject to the consultation arrangements, so the seeker may listen to the guidance again later.
